Stoughton Leadership Institute

The Stoughton Leadership Institute (SLI) is a weekly after-school programStoughton Leadership Institute based at Stoughton High School and open to grades 9 through 12.

SLI students participate in skill-building workshops on leadership topics, community service projects, guest speaker presentations, and leadership events and conferences.

The SLI adviser also offers weekly office hours to support students in goal setting and to provide college readiness workshops. This includes one-on-one advising with seniors and group workshops for juniors and interested sophomores.

Commitment

  • Attend meetings: all SLI members attend SLI workshops every other week, SLI mentors attend mentoring days on in between weeks as well. Workshops are Wednesdays from 2:20 pm to 3:30 pm in the high school, room A216. Mentoring days will also be Wednesdays from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm but in the middle school, room 104.
  • Check in at least once a semester with Jennie during office hours (Thursday and Friday in the large group room in the library).
  • Communicating with Jennie as soon as possible if you anticipate missing a meeting or event.
  • Participating in at least 4 SLI leadership events throughout the year. "Leadership Events" including community service (besides mentoring,) college visits, leadership conferences, attending career panels, etc.
