The Sanitation Department is responsible for the collection and disposal of residents' trash and recyclables. Curbside rubbish collection is provided once a week to each residential address with three or fewer family units in town. Changes in schedule (holidays, etc.) will be advertised locally. Please note that Monday Holidays do NOT effect your regular scheduled trash pick up day as trash is only picked up Tuesdays-Fridays.
All rubbish must be set neatly at curbside by 7 am on your collection day
All leaves, grass clippings must be brought to the Transfer Station located at 100 Page Street, Saturdays only 8 am to 4 pm. No curbside pickup
All household rubbish must be bagged. - NO LOOSE TRASH.
All rubbish that is not at curbside when the truck reaches that location will not be collected later.
As of 9/15/23- Bulky Solid Waste items and Metal Objects for recycling are now being scheduled for Monday Pickups beginning Monday October 2, 2023 per the new policy. To schedule and pay for these pickups please go to the DPW 950 Central St Monday- Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm. The flyer with pricing info is attached below. Payment can be made by credit card or check. THERE IS NO LIMIT ON HOW MANY BAGS OR BARRELS YOU CAN PUT OUT. NO SPECIAL BAGS NEEDED.
